Description

Information:

  • High-power single-phase loads cause significant current imbalances in the power grid.
  • The result? Major problems for the power grid and connected equipment!
  • For example, variable frequency drives are not designed to handle such an unbalanced load.

A three-phase-to-single-phase converter provides a solution.

  • The secondary windings of the transformer are connected in series in a special circuit configuration, thereby creating a single-phase output.
  • On the primary side, the windings are configured in a three-phase star connection.
  • The transformer distributes the required input current evenly across all three phases.
  • This solution is particularly effective when a primary neutral point is present.
