Description
Information:
Indirect water cooling:
Here, cooling plates or cooling coils are inserted into the winding.
This lowers the temperature slightly, and some of the power-loss heat is dissipated via the medium of water and thus does not enter the environment.
Direct water cooling:
Here, the copper part of the winding is a tube, where electricity flows in the jacket and the water for cooling inside. Thus, the transformers remain colder, dT about 10K, and the power loss does not enter the environment but is dissipated directly by the water, e.g. for use as a process heater.
The size will also be significantly smaller. For larger currents, we use several tubes in parallel so that an optimal (also magnetic) utilization of the winding surface is created.
Please use appropriate water.
In the last 10 years, we have produced several 100 such transformers.
We develop, design, calculate, and build these water-cooled transformers and chokes
according to your specifications.
We will be happy to comply with your special requirements and advise you in detail.
